The game is free, runs in the browser and comes in several languages. Like every game on the site, your progress is saved: start one evening, finish the next.

An atmosphere that works online

A good Halloween escape room relies less on jump scares than on mystery: an abandoned place, a buried secret, messages to decipher. Online, pictures, sounds and words do the work of the set. Turn off the lights, put on headphones and let the story do the rest.

Puzzles like these often play with old codes: a Morse message, a pigpen alphabet, a Caesar cipher. If you get stuck, a hint is waiting, paid in credits you earn by playing.

Want to surprise your friends with a story of your own? The Studio lets you write a tailor-made game: a haunted house, a cursed letter, three doors and only one way out. Add your pictures and sounds, set dead ends to trap the reckless, and schedule the opening for the night of 31 October.

During the game, you follow each team from the GM console and hand out hints yourself. At the end, the solution is revealed with the leaderboard of the fastest teams.
